MADNAT SEEKS NEW MEMBERS - COUPLES AND FAMILIES WELCOMED
We are seeing fewer of our regular members attending in the last few months - the club is supported by a band of loyal members who come to most swims. We do have a good influx of visitors which is helping the club to survive financially, but fewer of the past regular members are coming. We are also seeing fewer women of late. We like to keep a healthy balance between males and females as some ladies feel less comfortable with too many men.
The club has been going as a family-oriented club since 1993. Let's not make 2010 our last year. You have been warned.
In order to control our costs, we have had to reduce the availability of the Sports Hall to the first hour only - this saves us about £40 per night, equivalent to 5 members coming. So if you play badminton you will need to be out by 8.30pm at the latest.
ADMISSION FEES INCREASE
Regretfully we have had to agree a 30% increase in admission fees for both members and couples. This was agreed by vote at the AGM on the 27th March. The background is that we have to meet Leisure Centre hire charges with fewer members attending regularly, and we want to keep our naturist facility going.
The revised admission fees are:
Single Members: £8 (was £6)
Couple Members: £13 (was £10)
Single Visitors: £10
Couple Visitors: £13
The new fees are effective as of April 10th 2010.
Membership subscriptions remain the same.
LOOK WHAT YOU WOULD PAY AT A GENERAL TEXTILE SESSION!
If you think our admission prices are not good value, look at what a single textile adult pays for using the facilities at Marlborough:
Swim session (1 hour): £4.20
Swim with Sauna: £5.20
Sauna Only: £6.00 (must keep your cozzy on though!)
Badminton (1 hour): £8.15
Squash (45 minutes): £7.15
Yoga: No, you can't get that if you just turn up, ours is FREE.
On that basis, all that we offer, in the nude, for two hours at £8 can't be bad, can it?
TIME TO INTRODUCE NEW FRIENDS!
We are getting a lot of new faces at the club, some new to naturism, as we're actively looking for new members. We welcome more couples - please contact us by phone or use e-mail (click on the smiley at the bottom of this paragraph) - it costs you nothing and you can ask questions about what we do and see if it's right for you.
If you are a single male, you may like to know we don't have any discrimination against single males joining us, but we do like a bit of balance between males and females. We occasionally have an informal 'waiting list' for new single males if we feel the club is too male-dominant, but that doesn't mean you won't ever be able to join.
It's a great way to make new friends!
DO YOU HAVE, OR DO YOU KNOW, SOMEONE WITH LAND?
Madnat has been operating for the last 17 years as a 'Non-landed' Club. This means we meet as a group of like minded naturists at our regular swimming evenings at Marlborough Leisure Centre.
Now that the Club is 'Coming of Age', perhaps it's time we looked for land.
Are you a farmer or land-owner who might have a spare secluded corner to rent out for a nominal sum? If you are, we'd like to hear from you. Madnat is looking to become a 'Landed Club' where we can host barbeques and more social events and attract more members - perhaps for camping or caravanning rallies. We could even do our own 'naked gardening' by growing organic fruit and vegetables.
